Predict Your Exact Ovulation Day

What is an Ovulation Date?

The ovulation date is the exact day when a mature egg is released from one of your ovaries into the fallopian tube. This is the only moment in your cycle when an egg is available for fertilization. If you are trying to get pregnant, knowing this date is the single most important piece of information you can have.

How is Ovulation Calculated?

Our calculator uses the standard medical approximation based on the length of your luteal phase. While every woman is different, the luteal phase (the time between ovulation and your next period) is almost always 14 days.

The formula is:
Ovulation Date = (First Day of LMP) + (Cycle Length - 14 Days)

How Accurate is This Calculator?

This calculator works best for women with regular cycles. If your cycle length varies by more than a couple of days each month, your ovulation date might shift. For the highest accuracy, we recommend combining this calendar method with physical signs of ovulation.

Common Signs of Ovulation

In addition to using an ovulation date calculator, watch for these physical changes in your body:

  • Cervical Mucus: Becomes clear, slippery, and stretchy (like raw egg whites).
  • Mild Cramps: Some women feel a slight twinge or ache on one side of their lower abdomen (Mittelschmerz).
  • BBT Rise: A slight increase in your basal body temperature after ovulation has occurred.
  • Breast Tenderness: Changes in hormone levels can cause sensitive breasts.
